ARE THERE ANY FOOD OR REFRESHMENTS FOR FRIENDS & FAMILY AT THE EVENT?

Yes, there will be an onsite Sports Café serving hot & cold food & drinks throughout the day for all Half Marathon events.

WILL THERE BE ANY RACE BELTS OR KIT AVAILABLE TO PURCHASE ON THE DAY?
 
Yes, you will be able to purchase any last minute equipment such as Race Belts from our onsite retailers at all of the Half Marathon events.

ARE THERE TOILETS AVAILABLE? 
Yes, there are plenty on toilets available for those last minute nerves at all of the Half Marathon events.

ARE DOGS ALLOWED TO THE EVENT?
 
Yes, however all dogs must be kept on leads throughout the whole at all times. Dogs must NOT go onto the course during the Half Marathon events.

IS THERE ANYWHERE I CAN LEAVE MY BAGS WHILE I'M RUNNING?
 
Yes, there will be a baggage area inside the Main Event Marquee at each Half Marathon event.
Please note: There is a £5 charge per bag on the day at the Royal Windsor Half Marathon River Trail Run.

WHERE ARE THE NEAREST CAR PARKS?

Royal Windsor Half Marathon River Trail Run:
If you are traveling by car then please make sure you check all available public car parks & locations before planning your journey so you know where to go when you arrive in to Windsor. There are lots of car parks in the center of town close to the venue where you will be able to park on the day. Windsor & Eton (Central) and Windsor & Eton (Riverside). Both Stations are short walking distances to the Event.

IS THERE A LEAD BIKE?
 
Yes, there will be lead cyclists for the first waves of each event at all the Half Marathon events.

ARE THERE PHOTOGRAPHERS ON THE COURSE?
 
Yes, there will be Photographers around the course snapping away throughout the whole day at all the Half Marathon events... so remember to smile ☺

CAN I WEAR HEADPHONES?
 
We strongly recommend that you do not wear headphones while racing, as you will need to be fully aware of the surroundings and be able to listen to instructions from marshals on the course.

WHAT IS THE COURSE LIKE?
 
Royal Windsor Half Marathon River Trail Run:
The course is fairly flat & follows the Trail Paths along the River Thames, full details on the course can be found Here

Windsor Winter Half Marathon:
The course is very flat with 100% traffic free roads, taking you around the iconic venue at Dorney Lake.

Dorney Lake Winter Half Marathon:
The course is very flat with 100% traffic free roads, taking you around the iconic venue at Dorney Lake.

Windsor & Eton Half Marathon:
The course is very flat with 100% traffic free roads, taking you around the iconic venue at Dorney Lake.

IS THERE ANY FIRST AID ON THE COURSE?
 
There are onsite Ambulance services at the Start & Finish for all Half Marathon events.

There will be additional first aid for the Royal Windsor Half Marathon River Trail Run with mobile medics on bicycles around the whole course.

WHAT TERRAIN IS THE ROUTE?
 
Royal Windsor Half Marathon River Trail Run:
The course is mainly on river trail paths.  It is not scheduled to be on muddy ground through deep mud and puddles, or a grueling cross country.  It is intended to be a fun, friendly and possibly fast run in the great British outdoors. 

Windsor Winter Half Marathon:
The course is flat and friendly using a concrete path around the lake perfect for first timers or anyone looking to get a new PB.

Dorney Lake Winter Half Marathon:
The course is flat and friendly using a concrete path around the lake perfect for first timers or anyone looking to get a new PB.

Windsor & Eton Half Marathon:
The course is flat and friendly using a concrete path around the lake perfect for first timers or anyone looking to get a new PB.

ARE THERE WATER STATIONS ON THE COURSE? 
Yes, there will be plenty of opportunities to stop and get some refreshments at the water stations around the course at all Half Marathon events.

Yes, all participants must be 17 or over to take part in the Half Marathon events.

WHAT'S IN THE RACE PACK?
 
Please note: Race Packs are only sent out for the Royal Windsor Half Marathon River Trail Run, all other Half Marathon events will collect race packs on the day of the event.

Royal Windsor Half Marathon River Trail Run:
Your Race Pack will include a booklet with race details, race number & timing chip which will be attached to the back of your race number.

Yes, you have access to your online registration. To change any details please go to the link 'My Events' which you will find on your confirmation email that you received when you entered online. Sign in and click on the link 'Edit Registration Information'.

ARE THERE ANY TRAINING PLANS OR ADVICE? 
Yes, there are beginner and intermediate training plans available. These can be found under 'Training Plans' in the main menu.

WHAT DO I DO IF I HAVEN'T RECEIVED MY RACE PACK?
 
Please note: Race Packs are only sent out for the Royal Windsor Half Marathon River Trail Run, all other Half Marathon events will collect race packs on the day of the event.

Royal Windsor Half Marathon River Trail Run:
Not to worry, if you do not receive your race pack please send us an email using the contact form to let us know that your pack has not arrived. You will then need to arrive early on race day and go to the Main Event Marquee where you will be able to pick up a new Race number and timing chip.

WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY RACE NUMBER? 
Royal Windsor Half Marathon River Trail Run:
You will receive your Race Number in the Race Pack which will be sent out in the post within 1 week of the event date. 

Windsor Winter Half Marathon:
You will collect your Race Number on the day of the event when you register inside the Main Event Marquee.

Dorney Lake Winter Half Marathon:
You will collect your Race Number on the day of the event when you register inside the Main Event Marquee.

Windsor & Eton Half Marathon:
You will collect your Race Number on the day of the event when you register inside the Main Event Marquee.

Thames Valley Spring Half Marathon:
You will collect your Race Number on the day of the event when you register inside the Main Event Marquee.

WHERE DO I WEAR MY RACE NUMBER?

Your Race Number must be worn on your front. You will be able to attach your Race Number using safety pins or a Race Belt if you have one.

Yes, it is very important that you wear your Race Number (Timing Chip is attached to the back of Race Number) when racing, otherwise you will not get an official finish time for your race. 

Windsor Winter Half Marathon:
Yes, all participants must wear the Race Number before starting the event. The Race Number will help to identify participants and will be matched against photos and results.

Dorney Lake Winter Half Marathon:
Yes, all participants must wear the Race Number before starting the event. The Race Number will help to identify participants and will be matched against photos and results.

WHERE IS MY TIMING CHIP?
 
Royal Windsor Half Marathon River Trail Run:
The Timing Chip is attached to the back of your Race Number, attach this to your front then you will be ready to race. Make sure that your Race Number is clearly visible on your front. Do NOT bend or fold your Race Number. 

Windsor Winter Half Marathon:
You will collect your Timing Chip on the day of the event in the Main Event Marquee. The Timing Chip will be on a velcro strap that must go around your ankle.

Dorney Lake Winter Half Marathon:
You will collect your Timing Chip on the day of the event in the Main Event Marquee. The Timing Chip will be on a velcro strap that must go around your ankle.

Windsor & Eton Half Marathon:
You will collect your Timing Chip on the day of the event in the Main Event Marquee. The Timing Chip will be on a velcro strap that must go around your ankle.

You should wear your running gear that you will be racing in with additional clothing depending on the weather on the day of the event.

No, you will not need to register on the day. You will receive all your race items in the post before the event.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I MISS THE START?
 
The event timings are non-negotiable! We ask you to be in the right place at the right time. The event will start with or without you so please make sure you arrive in good time.

There will be prizes for 1st, 2nd & 3rd Male and Female Overall. All prizes will be supported by our event partners.

WHERE DO WE GO AT THE END OF THE RACE?
 
You will be handed a Bespoke Finishers Medal and funnel through to the Main Event Marquee where you can collect your items from the baggage area. Then you can relax and enjoy the rest of your day.

DO WE GET A MEDAL?
 
Yes, all Finishers get a Bespoke Finishers Medal at the end of the race for all the Half Marathon events.

WILL I GET AN ACCURATE FINISH TIME?
 
Yes, you will get an accurate finish time which you will be able to see on the results display screen. 

Please note: All Half Marathon events at Dorney Lake are fully licensed and certified by UK Athletics to provide 100% accurately measured courses. This means that any time you achieve on these courses can be used for any future event or championship that might require a qualification time.

WHEN & WHERE CAN I SEE MY FINISH TIME?
 
You will be able to see your finishing time on the results display screen. All results will be live to web as soon as you cross the finish line, which can be found in the 'Results' section.

WHAT TIME SHOULD I ARRIVE ON THE DAY?
 
You should aim to arrive at the event at least 1hr before your start time, giving yourself enough time to get prepared and to avoid any last minute rushing. Please be aware of any traffic or road works around Windsor when planning your journey.

The Royal Windsor Half Marathon – River Trail Run event will start @ 8:30am with rolling waves upto 8:55am. 

Windsor Winter Half Marathon:
Windsor Winter Half Marathon event will start @ 12:30pm (Mass start)

Dorney Lake Winter Half Marathon:
Dorney Lake Winter Half Marathon event will start @ 12:30pm (Mass start)

Windsor & Eton Half Marathon:
Windsor & Eton Half Marathon event will start @ 9:00am (Mass start)

Thames Valley Spring Half Marathon:
Thames Valley Spring Half Marathon event will start @ 12:30pm (Mass start)

Thames Valley Early Summer Half Marathon:
